Some interesting points made during the first reflection out the biennial retreat of the North American Chapter of the Society of Ordained Scientists:

The conversation between science and religion isn’t an attempt to come to a common belief. We’re trying to find the common values that we can coalesce around - particularly Awe and Wonder. But could this be a little too passive? How do we get people to take the step past these feelings into action steps. Awe should inspire humility and its associated behaviors.

The action counterpoint to Wonder is Curiosity. How do we get people to be curious enough to ask questions even when they think they know the answers.
